nordhavn, copenhagen, roskilde, hillerød. in ONE day.
craziness. i thot my legs were going to drop off after the trip... we set off to the above places today as planned by daren. thanks to his singaporean kiasuism, we managed to save on 10 zones off the klip kort by rushing to places within two hours for travelling on the trains. our first stop was nordhavn, where computer city is. then we were off to copenhagen h. our best finding there is this shop called 'tiger'. the barang barang sold there is really cheap. all items at 10 or 20 dkk. hmm think i'll go back there to buy the espresso maker for mom and dad. our next stop was roskilde, where the viking museum (vikingeskibsmuseet) is. on our train ride to roskilde, we actually went up to the first class compartment and later got told that we're in the wrong place by the conductor. so paiseh. haha. so here's the pic of the first class seats. so nice and comfy... it's on the upper deck and has a nice coffee table.
it is a long way from the train station to the museum, but on our way we enjoyed the nice scandinavian winter scenery.
The viking museum is located at the harbor near the sea. The sea was frozen and on it we can see the webprints of ducks. It's pretty interesting to see how clumsily those ducks were when walking on ice. maybe yh can imitate them. hee.
in the evening we were off to the frederiksborg castle in hillerød. the castle is located in the middle of hillerød, on three islands in the castle lake. It was occupied by danish kings for abt a century.
our day ended with a "nice" jog from the frederiksborg castle to the hillerød train station.
